Yoga with Janet Stone App Reviews

Cant keep up

I am not new to yoga. Id say Im past beginner and can handle intermediate material. I thought I would start from scratch with a basic Vinyasa lesson. What I like about the app, compared to some of the other yoga apps that Ive used, is that it uses live video instead of pictures and the music and sound effects arent cheesy and over the top. However, I had to stop mid-session to write this review because Im so frustrated that I cant keep up! Like I said, Im not new to yoga and I also dont have any problem following instruction, and the basic Vinyasa has very basic moves in it, and right now I am more stressed and flustered because I am trying to do proper positioning and breathing and shes 3 steps ahead of me :| I guess if I push through this 12 more times Ill just have it memorized and can go at my own pace but in the mean time... Im going to look for another app until theres a way to slow it down.

Not for beginners

I have used other Lolo apps and have loved them, not this one. I was unimpressed with the way the beginner version started out. In No Way is this for beginners. She wants you to get into poses your body cant even do yet. I thought this would help me gradually get my flexibility back but would only cause me more injury in trying these poses. Do not recommend if just starting yoga!!!! I have deleted this app, will look for another. Disappointed even more since I paid for this app.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Not for beginners!!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️

It has yoga sessions for beginners, it is not. I bought this app as a truly naive practitioner and promptly ignored it for ~2yrs. In that time I took 40 studio yoga sessions. This app COULD be great, once I learned the basics and proper poses/posture I LOVE this app ❤️❤️❤️. All they need to do is add a true beginner session detailing the basics: four corners, downward dog, warrior poses, breathing, etc explaining how everything should look and feel. Also calling out the more common names during flows (maybe in a beginner intro session have text on screen with both names). When I tried it before, I like others quit because I felt so lost. Also, wheel isnt a true beginner pose but its in the beginner series. Maybe in the beginner series calling out a few more alternatives would be good. On that note also have more poses that you can do to work into the more difficult poses. For studio time I paid $10/session, so this app is a steal (once you know what youre doing). One more thing - it should be easier to restart a series. When I jump from daily to flexibility, I have to look up in my history where I was since it defaults to day 1. Finding how to do that was no easy task either.
